Aladdin Casting

The Blue Orange Theatre has announced the cast for its magical festive production of Aladdin. From the same producer as last year’s Cinderella, this year’s panto extravaganza will be directed by Tomas Wolstenholme, have choreography and musical staging by CiCi Howells with design by Joanne Marshall.

The bold and adventurous Aladdin is played by Lewis Collier-Smith alongside Rachel Hoskins as Princess Jasmin and Amelia Cameron-Padmore as the hilarious, magical Genie. Other cast members include Will Wheeler as comic Wishee Washee and Tom Parkinson as the evil Abanazar. Completing the cast will be an ensemble of nine.

Following the success of last year's Cinderella, director Tomas Wolstenholme is directing his first production at The Blue Orange which was recently taken over by JW Theatres.

Artistic Director James Williams said:

“Since 2016 we have been the affordable panto in Birmingham and I am delighted to welcome Tomas Wolstenholme to direct this year’s show. Tomas has appeared in pantomime elsewhere, most recently at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre where he played King Rat. He understands the memories that are created by a child’s first visit to the theatre and I can’t wait for audiences to see his exciting ideas for this year’s Aladdin.”

Tickets start at just £8 and we’re ambitiously bringing flying carpets, state of the art lighting effects and glorious costumes to the Blue Orange audiences next month.

We have a wonderful company of actors and I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve created this year!”

Aladdin runs from 4 – 8 December and tickets are on sale now.
